If you're seeking a true taste of Karachi's vibrant street food culture, look no further than Cafe Karam Khan, a beloved café nestled on Wellington Street in Saddar. This is not merely a place to grab a bite; it's an experience steeped in local flavor and fond memories.

Open 24 hours, Cafe Karam Khan offers a welcoming escape for both night owls and early risers. As you approach the café, the rich, inviting aroma of spices wafts through the air, promising a culinary adventure. The bustling atmosphere is part of its charm, with locals huddled over steaming cups of tea and mouthwatering snacks, creating a lively backdrop for your dining experience.

Café Karam Khan specializes in classic Pakistani cuisine, with a menu that stars crowd-pleasers such as Chicken Tikka Samosa and Chana Chat. The Chicken Tikka Samosa is a must-try, with its crisp pastry enveloping tender, spiced chicken that bursts with flavor at every bite. Meanwhile, the Chana Chat offers a tangy twist, mixing chickpeas with vibrant spices that tantalize your taste buds. Pair any dish with their legendary Doodh Patti—a rich tea infused with cardamom that warms the soul and delights the senses. Returning customer Kabeerovic raved about this special chai, saying, "It's a must," and you’ll quickly understand why.

Understandably, when visiting an iconic spot like Cafe Karam Khan, the ambiance is as much a part of the experience as the food. While there might not be formal seating, the energy of the surrounding area and the friendly chat amongst patrons create a unique bond over shared meals. Customer Salman Chang mentioned, "the place is crowded [...] but I think the chai is worth it," encapsulating the essence of this spirited café.

However, do prepare for a bit of hustle and bustle as you enjoy your meal, with the sounds of city life enriching the atmosphere. For those who prefer a quieter spot, it might be best to consider visiting during off-peak hours, but the vibrant energy is often part of the appeal!

Reviews from satisfied customers, like Muhammad Ali Arif who described the food as "extra ordinary," further affirm that Cafe Karam Khan is more than just a stop for food; it’s a community hub where flavors and friendships flourish. Whether you’re indulging in rolls, enjoying Pakistani dishes like chicken karai, or just savoring that perfect cup of chai, you're sure to leave with a full heart and satisfied palate.

In essence, Cafe Karam Khan is where authentic Karachi meets warmth and hospitality. So, if you're craving delicious, quintessentially Pakistani street food served with a side of nostalgia, this café is a destination that warrants your visit.

Restaurant is in Saddar and 24 hours. Chicken tikka samosa are the best and chana chat as well. Tea is also delicious.

They serve the best chai and doodh patti. Goings to this place since my childhood, everything from Cafe Karam Khan is best. It's actually a "Khan style cafe" but their way of working is really something we don't see casually. Whenever you go here, "doodh patti" is must, order Samosa or anything without thinking again , it will be worth it for sure! No sitting for families but if you have a car, you're good to go.

Their chai is really good, proper doodh patti with enough milk and you can taste all the flavors, especially the ilaichi but the place is crowded and you have to sit by the road, dealing with traffic noise but I think the chai is worth it.

I really liked their Mix Sabzi and Anda Ghutala, they had a lot to choose from, everything was fresh, tasted perfect with freshly baked chapati. As s for snacks, apart from Aloo Samosa, unfortunately nothing tasted good to me and we took quite a lot of things. Someone messed up our order and gave us completely different fillings. Another day I ate Anda Paratha and it was delicious. We drank Chai there every day, worth recommending.

A good place to have late night tea and a meetup with friends. Tea was ok, just like every other chai hotel.

5 stars for only tea. Recommended. Not for family because there isn't a place for family
